Did you try a google search for "HL-DT-STBDDVDRW CT10N firmware" ?? I found several links, although I didn't follow through with any of those.

I'm in Florida about 40 miles north of Tarpon Springs where there is a large Greek Sponge Fishermen community. I go there often to the Greek restaurants.

Unless you have a problem, that an available firmware upgrade fixes, there is no reason to upgrade the firmware.

Have you actually flashed the drive's firmware? If you have, and it hasn't completed successfully, then you will in all likelihood have bricked the drive. I've done that myself in the past on an old IDE optical drive, and the best solution is to replace the drive.
