Hi Andrew,
If you recall, I said I was registered blind so would have to get a local PC repair guy in to do this as I cannot navigate the inside of a PC. I have just ran SFC /Scannow and it said there were issues but reports it has fixed them Thanks Graham |

Hi Graham,
apologies. I do remember you saying this. can you navigate to device manager to see if there are any issues showing? maybe give restore one last go and get back to me. |

No worries Andrew
![]() I did take a look at Device Manager and there were no issues with the drivers. I can certainly try System Restore again. Thanks |

Hi Andrew,
I tried system restore but will have to wait until I boot up first thing to see if that ch angesany thing. My repair man suggested it might be the PSU or the motherboard, what do you think? Thanks Graham |

It could be your video card too. I had a similar issue but my card was an EVGA NVidia card. But similar issue with blank screen. I had to RMA. So far my new card is running fine. Was your current GPU a newer install it came with the pc when you purchased?

The GPU is the one that came with the PC Not sure what RMA means? Graham |

RMA is Return Merchandise Authorization. Basically warranty repair/replacement directly from the manufacturer. So depending on how long ago you purchased it you maybe able to get it replaced under warranty. If it's past warranty then troubleshooting further you'll have to do. You say you'll need a tech to try any swapping of GPU's or to see if the onboard GPU will work. Do you have a friend or collegue to help out that's technical?

Ah, thanks for the explanation.
No, I will have to pay someone to take out the GPU |

if it was the PSU or the motherboard you would struggle to boot.
i'm going to go with the GPU. again. its not straight forward for you due to not being able to work on the computer yourself. I would certainly suggest having your IT guy remove the GPU and try running using the onboard graphics to start with. |

Thanks for that Andrew I would take that route myself. I'll get the IT guy to take a look
