Dedicated graphics card reduce heat on i5 4670k?

I was just wondering if I should continue to use my 4850 graphics card instead of the built in graphics once I change out the motherboard & processor. This won't be a gaming build but, I just wondered if disabling on board graphics would make it easier to cool the processor or not make much difference? If, there's even an option to disable. Thanks! :)

I later added a separate video card (NVIDIA GTS450OC) and didn't notice any difference in CPU temps or how often the CPU cooler fan sped up relative to CPU activity. I did gain quite a bit on the Windows assessment scores for the video going to the separate video card.

If I remember right, my video card scored 7.5 with present setup but, it's pcie 2.0 so I don't know how well it will score on the new motherboard I'll check it both ways. Thanks! :)

i dont think that there will be a noticeable temp drop switching from integrated to discrete gfx. if anything it may go up. my suggestion if your worried about temps is to get some case fans. if its specifically your cpu temps get a new heatsink for your cpu, you dont need a monstrous one to beat stock cooling.
