Rtl 120 Bpl Missing dvd not playing
Hi, A friend of mine is having problems with his disc drive Its on laptop with Windows 7. If he burns a cd or dvd it shows as successful but will not play back. Playing the disc in another computer or dvd player it works ok. He's cleaned the laser with a disc cleaner. He also tells me he is getting messages that Rtl 120 Bpl is missing and needs to be reinstalled. I have Googled this and i know he uses Avg Tuneup, i gather this can cause the loss of that file so he did a system restore. Its still the same. My question is could the loss of this file cause the disc drive to malfunction? Any help would be appreciated
