    Error code 10 ? USB to port com RS 232


    I installed PL2303_Prolific driver for mu USB to port com RS232 the installation done normaly but
    I got the error code 10 !
    The cable is fine I tried it in another pc with Windows XP
    I need help plz

    I've had trouble with some USB/RS232 converters. I've only found one that will work, or at least work with my wife's Singer Emboidery machine. Amazon.com: Plugable USB to RS-232 DB9 Serial Adapter (Prolific PL2303HX Rev D Chipset): Computers & Accessories

    Are you installing the PL2302 V 1.7 driver? If not give that a shot. Also do not physically connect the converter until AFTER you install the driver. If you connect it and then the driver in most cases the installation will fail.

    I don't know. I don't have any VM's installed. Its worth a try, though.
