    default gateway

9 days ago I downloaded something so I could watch ESPN on my laptop. Since then I have been getting default gateway errors. I uninstalled any of the possibly offending software. I am renting a room in a house for 2 weeks now. Cox broadband/netgear router. I have knocked the router offline twice and don't want to do it again, it pisses off the homeowner. i'm an experienced user. Other computers work. Let me know how to obtain whatever stats you need on my computer. I don't want to have to reinstall, none of my software is with me. Wireless connection and temporarily fixed by resetting the adapter in the network troubleshooting. Other computers are running W7, it's not an ancient router, it was working fine until the ESPN episode, I've run Malbytes, removed several objects... When the net does work, it's slow..
    Thank you!
