It seems to be popping up with either keyboard option.
EDIT: I just tried an English Australian one, and it's still coming up with the same character. |

So it 's not keyboard layout issue!
I think it's a corrupted font(?) Once again... it a display problem. |

Did you add themes to make desktop and win7 look different? Save your current theme so you can always go back to current theme.
Set win7 theme to win7 standandard aero theme. No problems then? In MS WORD use font "Sogeo UI" and type the problem character. It is displayed correctly? I'm not sure if this affects it at all, but I believe this laptop was purchased from a Korean refurbishment, since my business owners are Korean and have worked with them prior so it could be some sort of issue with the Korean language pack? Just guessing. |

Sure you typed "Sogeo UI" text in WORD?
In regedit browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics Post screenshot. I'm interested in right part of screenshot. Let me see the "value" column. Make it as large as possible. You mean Korean win7 has been installed and you installed english language pack? |

Also I typed in Sogeo UI and it said no font found, but the one I used was Segoe UI, which I assumed was the same thing? I'm attaching a screen shot as requested. I also thought you may find it interesting that the first time I tried to search exactly what you gave me, and when I pasted it into regedit it gave me the exact same damn character. I'm posting a screenshot of that as well. |

Display the column "value" as large as possible. Want to see more data!
Also double click menufont, iconfont, messagefont etc. You see Segeo UI now? |

Inputting Microphone and Headphone audio into the line in jack Hello all, firstly; apologies for any headaches caused, however, until I buy a capture card I'm recording gameplay through a camera (the quality to my surprise isn't bad either). However picking up the audio requires me to turn up the TV volume quite a lot and also the mic (on my headset) to 100 +... |

Keyboard incorrectly mapped - not a region problem Hi all, I recently had my motherboard replaced by the Tech Support team at PC World, but I htink they've made a bit of a mess of it. I managed to upgrade to Windows 7 post-'repair' but this particular problem persists: The keyboard is mapped incorrectly. The characters 'i', 'o', 'j', 'k',... |

35 Language OS or just inputting? Does the 35 language capacity of Ultimate allow one to shift OSs into another language system (say Japanese) to run software that does not run on the default English system? Or is it just inputting, which is something XP had from the start? And if it allows the OS shift, is a reboot always... |
