Can I Use Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter With My PC?

    Hi guys,

I would like to run a wireless connection on my desktop, and I would prefer not to purchase a nice wireless adapter. However I have read countless articles on various site telling me that what I want to do is impossible, and that windows has not released drivers for the network adapter. I am just wondering if there is some software that isn't official that exists for the Xbox 360 Network Adapter, or if anyone has ever gotten it to work before.

    Hi,

If you are using the official Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter, this simply won't work. You cannot use Microsoft's 360 adapter on your computer for the same reason that ordinary USB adapters don't work on the Xbox - the needed device driver support is lacking.

If you are using a generic USB wireless game adapter or Ethernet-to-wireless bridge, then of course you can swap the adapter between your Xbox and computer with no problem.
