I don't get this no issues but Windows 7 won't detect any usb hd neither sub 2.0 or 3.0 different ports don't help and outs fully updated plus no other issues. When boot my xp boot up CD it detects the usb drive right away. Flash drives work just not usb drives. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or where to start I don't want to reinstall again I just did.

- That said, what kind (brand) is this 3TB hard drive?
- Have you tried different cables?
- Have you tried said hard drive in another PC?
- Is said hard drive being seen in disk management? If it is, does it have a drive? If not, assign one.
And sometime cables act strange, so check the connections on both ends. I've had issue where my portable hard drive isn't being recognized only to find fiddling with the cable fixes the issue.
It's also hard for me to understand but try reading through this Tutorial by Brink.
I think this question should be answered.

Ok I can remove it with Safly remove hardware option but it doesn't show the hd in computer
Did you read/follow any of the suggestions posted by myself and Layback Bear?
Could you at least answer those?
