AMD or intel processor bundle advice!

im looking for just the processor, motherboard, and ram for a new pc.
iv been looking and i don't know if intel is worth the price compared to AMD

Eruption Quad Core AMD 3.6GHz + 8GB Memory Motherboard Kit | Maplin
    or
    Intel® i5-3570K 3.8GHz + Asus P8Z77-V LX + 8GB Memory Motherboard Kit (Used) | Maplin

Ideally i want 16gb 1600mhz of ram quadcore 3.6ghz processor and any motherboard with at least 2 usb3 ports.

Intel is good but the price is high and the one i like isnt quad core. amd is cheaper but i dont know how good it will be.

i will be gaming and video editing.

also with my gpu nvidia gforce gtx 650 1g ddr5, will it take 2 1920 - 1080 monitors?

    Hi,

Personally, I love Intel processors. I agree with you that they are expensive and sometimes "over priced" as well.

But, that can not be the reason not to buy Intel. I found a link Intel VS AMD CPUs for you to check.

From the link provided in your OP.

    Intel® Core™ i5-3570K Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.80 GHz)

    # of Cores 4
    # of Threads 4

It clearly says, it has 4 cores.
It will be multiple core processor. It is the 3rd generation.

With the specs mentioned in your profile and the processor (Intel i5), you will be able to play MW3, Battle filed 4 and COD Ghosts as well.

    Happy gaming.

    FPS will be very decent.

If you go for the Intel route there's a much better option an extra £30 gets you a Intel Core i5 4670K @ 4.2GHz Overclocked Haswell Gaming PC Bundle with 8GB ram & a much better cooler.
