Acer Aspire - Windows 7 reinstallation stuck on "Setup is starting"

Hi all, I am trying to reinstall Windows 7 on my notebook (Acer Aspire 5742-7645) from the DVD. I get as far as this screen: http://www.buildeasypc.com/pics/wind...windows7_3.jpg
When I click "Install now," the screen says "Setup is starting..." and then never moves on. I have gone into BIOS and set the boot order to DVD first. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi acerman1,

    Welcome to Seven forums.

There could be many reasons for this. First and foremost would be it could be an issue with the disc. Create a USB drive to install windows:

USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create

This would eliminate corrupt disc or DVD drive. Make sure all peripherals are disconnected. If you still face a similar issue then you should check your harddrive for error:

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.
