    blu ray player/writer

Does anyone out there know where i can get the codecs for free(if possible) for windows so i can play blu ray movies on my computer if i choose to? I have a blu ray player/writer but Im pretty sure i still need the codecs and something else possibly?

Well there is a lot of mixed feelings about blu ray as there is a very LIMITED amount of free anything (that actually works) when it comes to playing blu ray.

I will do my best to give you free stuff but i don't think it will work the way you want.

The best sollution so far: This is a Blu ray ripper. It rips the whole blu ray to your hard drive and can unencrypt the AACS stuff. It is currently free due to it being in its beta stage. You will need to download a new version every 30 days to keep it working. This is very annoying but it can see practically every blu ray.
MakeMKV - Make MKV from Blu-ray and DVD

Due to the encryption "AACS" no one will give free stuff as it costs them money to make there software compatible with the encryption.

My suggestion is to buy a program like cyberlink 13. I know it is not the solution you are looking for but nothing else REALLY works.

I will keep looking for something better.
