Microsoft Blue Laser Explorer mouse really lags a lot lately

Not sure what it is, I tried even adjusting my mouse speed up even more, it was already 3/4 of the way up, now almost 90% and it's still sticks, is lagey & just unresponsive.

I have the Microsoft Explorer mouse with the blue laser

Any idea why this would be or what I can do to fix it?

    Thanks.

Anyone have any ideas, this is getting beyond frustrating. I've restarted my computer & still have the same issues.

    Hi Johny,

    try this.

Go to Task Manager, find "itype.exe" and "ipoint.exe" and change the priority of your processes to "high" or "real time".

Apparently ipoint & itype.exe's aren't compatible with the newer Win7 64 versions (that is the error message I've received multiple times before & also just recently) and doesn't seem to open. I do see it running in the background in task manager though.

My new mouse (the one with the issues) uses Microsoft Mouse & keyboard Center, but nothing allows me to change it to high or real time?

Any ideas on my options now?
