    Epson R380 drivers

    Hi Gang

Just loaded up the new Win 7 Ultimate, and cannot get my Epson R380 to work. It worked with the Beta version. Is there some little secret to getting the drivers for this printer. I have gone to the Epson site and tried to download the new drivers for Win 7, but still no luck. When you try to add a printer, what port are you supposed to use, I have it plugged into a USB port, the same I used when it worked with the Beta version. I really use the Print CD, more so then the straight printing.

Any and all help appreciated.....Thanx ...Gunny......

    Hi Z

This is what I get when I try to download what you sent me and other attempts,
"The printer cannot be used with your current operating system"

I am on the 32 bit use and trust me I have nothing that I would think would stop this install. I have tried installing with administrator rights, and is it possible to be able to run it with compatibility.? I am using a Intel board, and I remember when I installed the XP a long time ago, I ran the software for the board, tried to run it with this version and it would not install. I was just wondering if there was some thing going on in this direction, considering the little error box I get.

    Thanx.....Gunny

    Hi Z

Ya I was thinking of that. I understand if you right click on the EXE file will give you the choice of running it in administrator mode, is administrator and compatibility mode the same.

    Thanx...Gunny
