    Disk on port 2 detected

Win 7 Home Premium. A few times lately I got a small popup notification near the systray saying "Disk on port 2 detected". Seems to be related to Intel Rapid Storage Technology shown in the systray. Inside the systray I right click that "Technology" icon and then Open Application. I get a window saying "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to your computer?" The program name is IAStorUI. When I click Allow I get the attached window that stumps me. I don't know what to do or even if I have a problem. it doesn't seem to be a problem but I would like to know why I'm getting the first little popup notification. Can anyone help with this?

Hi there .. You do not really have a problem .. It is your DVD writer that is causing this notification . This may happen when you first boot into Windows or some time after that .. This seems to happen to save power on some Systems RST is the cause ...

Regarding DVD - I had a problem ripping from a regular CD to Windows Media player. It did 2 tracks then heard some funny noise and the rip appeared to stop so I cancelled the rip. Another CD ripped but did not show the bitrate for some of the tracks. Later on I tried another CD and it ripped without a problem. Then tried that first CD again and computer didn't recognize that there was a CD in the slot. I had to restart to eject the CD.
