What is it exactly, the medium and its content?

See if it can be detected from Windows using Partition Wizard Check File System which can sometimes revive these, or check its condition using Partition Wizard Partition surface test or the maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan.

Media Center Volume low
I have noticed that the volume for media center is quite low even with both the WMC cranked and Win 7 Sound control all the way up. (same movie will play louder with WMP) this happens with all movies.
