Cant use USBs

Now i noticed for some time that windows "reserves" some ports for some devices...even USBs but it never hurt me when i was working on pcs with around 8 USBs
Now im on a laptop with 4 USBs and i also use an exterior keyboard and mouse
Today after plugging a flash drive 3 of my USBs went down and will not accept any device
Both keyboard and mouse work in bios and work if plugged in the 4th USB ( its the live USB ) but the other 3 will not
I already rummaged through device manager and regedit and found nothing off so please HEPL!

NVM fixed it
first in command line i did "sfc /scannow"...it said something about corrupt files being fixed
then 1 time restart later all was well

You might consider rebooting and running SFC /scannow two more times, rebooting between
Run it twice more even if it tells you no integrity problems were found.

SFC processes things in small groups

After the third SFC, follow Option Three in this tutorial: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

VERY slow recognition of USBs on my PC
This has only started happening recently. Happens on all ports and to all USBs - even brand new ones. The PC takes nearly 10 minutes to register that the USB is plugged in - the green strip at the top of the Windows page just keeps going and going. Once it has recognised it, the USB works...

Hi all, Thanks in advance for any help. I just did a driver update and now none of my USBs are working, so no keyboard or mouse available. I set a restore point beforehand, but I can't get to it without a mouse. I have a Repair disc, but it's not booting, I'm getting the Autoplay screen. ...

A question on bootable USBs
Hello guys, I want to place some bootable recovery tools on a USB so when I'm on the move I can carry that instead of CDs. My question is this, I have 2 .iso files that I want on one USB stick. Is it possible to dual boot with USBs? So for example when you have a PC with both Windows 7 and...

I was reading on here about a solution a moderator (I believe) had found to the USB drives not working in Windows 7. I was prematurely interrupted while reading his solution and cannot seem to find it. The thread read something like "USB Connection - not working???." Could anyone possibly help...
