My Keyboard and Mouse keep crashing

Lately my keyboard and mouse have been crashing. This requires a shutdown before it will work again. Happens at random times. Tried different usb ports. My motherboard is a p9x79 pro 3102 bios version. The keyboard and mouse are just generic microsoft ones. Any help would be much appreciated.

Errors that come up when this happen in event viewer.

Session "Microsoft Security Client OOBE" stopped due to the following error: 0xC000000D Kernel Event 3
Session "Circular Kernel Context Logger" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035 Kernel Event 2

G02 mate the Microsoft KB's and mice usually come with their own software - most unusual they didn't load up when you plugged them in.

I use the SideWinder series on two machines and they are updated from time to time via Microsoft via either their dedicated update site or one that deals with the KB's.

So what models are you using?
