Mouse on Windows 7 Professional x64 Continually freezing & unfreezing
Okay, so my mouse... Seemingly at random will freeze for about 8-10 seconds or so, make a Windows error sound like "tee-dunk", and then work for 1-2 seconds, and then go back to freezing and then wash rinse, and repeat until I finally get aggravated enough to restart my computer which seems to be the only way to fix the issue (although it will re-occur at some point of inconvenience most likely later).
When checking the mouse drives (managed to get there while to mouse was freezing and unfreezing) i see that it switches back and forth between "No drivers installed for this device" and "This device is working properly" as it just is continually freezing and unfreezing. Seems to happen more often while playing video games, however it's not too picky about screwing up my browsing experiences either and it will also happen as I'm browsing the internet or something will just get stuck in this cycle. Even taking my current mouse out and plugging it into a different USB port/ plugging in a completely different mouse doesn't work. So it's not the mouse itself. I've tried un-installing and re-installing the mouse driver, doesn't help. Also, just recently as an example, it happens now indefinitely whilst playing games. As playing The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion it happens normally not even within 10 minutes of game-play and I have to restart the whole computer. My CPU and RAM aren't even close to being spiked up or anything like that before or during it's occurrence as well.
I have attempted to find the issues by searching for it online, but no one seems to be having exactly the problem that I am, or at least I can't seem to find it. Just as well I saw one post say that a conflict was with the KB2305420 Windows update, but i don't even have that particular update so, I' don't know. I also attempted to check to see if my driver software was up-to-date via the device manager, and it says that it is in fact up-to-date.
Also for added information, the mouse I'm currently using is the GX Gila Gaming mouse, by "Genius" i believe. However i am in doubt that the mouse itself is the problem as the Mouse, Keyboard, and computer itself, are all very new and even with a different mouse it happens. Will provide additional details as requested/needed.
