I dont think i will get an external harddisk anymore cause everything is inside nothing for me to keep now!
Terrible, i thnk they purposely make the new hard disk so low quality to make us keep buying new one!

You have to click/doubleclick on WinDlg.exe and not setup.exe. :)

Yes, that is what I said RMA. But before RMA, you have to run the diagnostics and tell them that it failed - if it fails.

    Oh! it failed ! ( not a nightmate , nightmare :))

In rare cases, - yes, note the word rare - some users were successful in retrieving data by running a live Linux.

    Try your luck.

Emergency Kit - save your files from a dead OS by whs - Mint Mate

Peppermint3 - Create Live CD/DVD/USB To Use For Emergency Backup by Golden - Peppermint

Yeah, you got a point. I use 4 external enclosures and use only bare bone disks now after a couple of my traditional external disks died. Fortunately I always double/triple copy my important data. The dead disks make nice paperweights, LOL.

Recently I buy SSDs for use in the external enclosures. Up to now they hold up - we'll see.
