Wondering what these two slots are for inside desktop

Subject pretty much sums it up.

I just added a bit of RAM to my computer and when I opened it up, I noticed two empty slots... see image.

Any idea what they are used for???

I believe those if im mistaken are PCI slots for PCI enabled devices(some outside sound card makers, etc use PCI. I have a PCI express sound blaster sound card). And I think that is what both are for. One is PCI(I think) and the other is PCI express.

The top black one is a PCI-e x16 slot. It usually gets used by graphics cards. The next two black ones are PCI-e x1 slots. They usually get used by sound cards, TV tuner cards, USB expansion cards, etc. The white one on the bottom is a PCI slot. It's there for a variety of legacy cards.
