    Help out the old guy

O.K. I'm the old guy that doesn't know beans about computers, so please help out here. What I'm trying to do is put Windows 7 on one hard drive and another program on a second one. I installed the new HD and it all booted up to the already installed Win 7 just fine. When I looked at the hard drive content, there it was, but I noticed that there was some Wondows (I don't know what version) files on the new HD. So, I wiped it clean. Now I cannot see the new HD in Windows 7. When I go to the boot menu, I see it and when I select it as the primary boot HD. The machine reverts itself back to the original HD as the primary boot HD. My problem now is, how do I load the new software (ububtu) on to the new HD? Do I need to do something to the new HD to make it visible?

    Format?

    "So, I wiped it clean."

Did you try formating the "clean" disk?

Uhhhh no, I don't think so. I'm not real sure what that even is. Hey, I told you that I was computer illiterate. How is that done?
