    Can't Wake From Sleep Mode

System goes into Sleep Mode, but when I try to wake, it freezes with Black Screen, so I have to restart system, and when I do, it gives me a "Resuming Windows" screen and takes me back to where the I was when Sleep Mode entered.

By process of elimination, I know the problem is being caused by some newly installed software, namely HTC Sync Manager, but I don't know where/how/why the conflict is occurring...and here's the rub-I really want to keep HTC Hot Sync.

I've tested the HTC software on two different PCs running Win 7, with same result, but HTC says I'm the only one reporting this problem, so...no help from that end.

I'm hoping that someone here can give me some suggestions of things to try that might at least localize the problem or ideally be a workaround.

    Thanks

start the pc in safe mode change power settings to get the pc out of sleep mode.

make the changes to HTC in msconfig and reboot..

click start/run msconfig click menu "startup" un-check HTC from loading at startup

check the manual for settings you may change..

    Johnebadbak-Thanks for the reply.
Starting in Safe Mode is not necessary for me to make changes to "Power Settings". PC reboots just fine and I have made Power Settings changes to stop entering "Sleep Mode". FYI-I tried booting into safe mode to test "Sleep Mode", but it's not available in either Start Menu or Power Settings.

HTC Sync has not been loading at start up (opens only when I plug in phone) and doesn't even show up in MSCONFIG/Startup, but does show in Services/HTC Monitoring/Running. Haven't tried stopping that service, as not sure yet what it does.

Already had the Manual, and couldn't find anything relevant.
