New SSD on the Way, YEA BABY
I decided to get a SSD for my lap top. Tell me if I am thinking right. I am going to take the old HD out and put the SSD in the same laptop. I don't need the Paragon $20 program. I can just use Macrium and it will be OK since I have the same drivers etc. The SSD will be bigger than HDD partition that has my OS on it. Does this sound like a good plan?

You are talking about taking the image from your old HDD and moving it to your new SSD? Honestly, I would forego that and just install Windows fresh on the SSD and then move things over that you want to keep to it. It is just so much nicer starting out with a fresh start, less headache and hassle.

The only reason I hesitate to do a clean install is that I have seen countless notes on forums where guys have problems getting their WIFI working with Lenovo laptops on Clean Installs. I don't have that much on the HDD, but I just want to be sure the WIFI works with no problem. == Will Macrium work OK?

The two of you are making lean toward a Clean Install. I guess I could try it and if the WIFI doesn't work, I can always do a Macrium Image to get it going. Thanks to both of you.

id still go with a clean install. for a start. youve still got your old hard drive to make an image of if things go belly up.
jusy make sure you download all the drivers beforw you install windows and not try afterwards when youve no wireless drivers to connect to the internet ^_^

Sure since you will have a good image, you can still restore it to the SSD if the new install doesn't work. It may be a good idea to first download the WiFi driver and save it somewhere.
