Boot HDD failed, trying to find a nice SSD.

So the other day, I was in the middle of something VERY important (School stuff) when my HDD (WD Caviar Blue) just failed. Sadly, my mobo does not support SMART so I did not have any clue that is was on the verge of failing. I took my laptop HDD out and put it in my desktop and I'm just using that for the time being. Sadly, I cannot play any of my games because my laptop had a 32 bit OS while my games were a 64 bit install. Also, I cannot install my graphics driver but that is not what I am writing about. I an wondering if this SSD (Transcend Information, Inc TS64GSSD340 - Best Buy) would be a great price to performance drive. since it is 64 GB, I will not be able to install ANYTHING but the OS (I have chosen Windows 8.1 OEM because it is cheaper than the retail and I don't need the support from MS.) Again, does that SSD have a good price-to-performance ratio and, if not, could you suggest a different SSD around the same price and space?

Personally Duke I like the Samsungs I run both the 840 and an EVO and never had any problems with them.

A bit more expensive but a whole lot better and more space Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE120BW 2.5" 120GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Now that I saw that Samsung I might get that instead! I thought they were more expensive. Thanks!

The Pro's are more expensive. The EVO is their low cost model - but pretty popular.
