Who requested you to go through the registry?I've went through the registry as asked
Could you post a screen shot of both drives with only one hooded up at a time.

This is puzzling. Could you unhook the drive you are not having the problem with and then boot into the drive you are having a problem with?
Then go into Device Manager and check and update the driver to the DVD.
