Windows 7 does not recognize one of the hard drives
This is really peculiar..
Recently upgraded the computer and installed windows 7 ultimate. Realized I needed some programs that will not run in Win 7 (even with XP compatibility mode) so I installed Win xp Pro sp3 on one of the drives.
Yes, I know Win 7 won't let me do that, so I unhooked the win7 hd and did a clean install of win xp on an extra drive and then hooked everything back up.
Computer has a total of 6 drives: 4 hard drives (various partitions) and 2 dvd burners.
When I boot to Win XP (through Bios; only way I can get to xp atm), everything works and all the drives are present (all 4). However, when I go into Win 7, only 3 of the hard drives are present - the entire drive with Win xp is absent even from the disk manager. Even the empty partition (400gb) on the drive with Winxp (in a 100gB partition)is absent.
Computer naturally boots to win 7. Like I said, only way to get to XP is from bios. I only noticed the missing drive when I went to set up a selective multi-boot (which I can't do because the dive is not there!).
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanx
