MS Bus Controller

    SM Bus Controller


    Hi there
    So iv done a Fresh copy of the OS as always without any problems but this time when i went to take a look at the device manager this is what i get :

    Iv installed all driver updates,windows updates everything but this device is still unknown iv also tried disabling and enabling it,and updating it from the manager plus when it starts searching with the windows update i get " No Driver Found"...Thanks in advance.

    Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 1.5GB

    Hi there .. Did you Install the Chipset Driver from the Dell Website ?

    What about the Intel Management Engine did you Install that ?

    Select the other Device right click on it select property's details tab is there any PCI VEN numbers there

    Nope nothing btw what is the MS Bus ? is it important ? should i just disable it and close this case or it must be fixed ?

    Can you find a driver on Dell's website that is for Windows 7?
    (There might not be one - perhaps one size fits all.)

    The SM Bus Controller is a Chipset family driver .. No i would like to find out what it is .. Please list me all the Drivers you have Installed from the Dell Website ...

    SM Bus Controller is a data controller for slow speed devices. Sometimes the SM Bus controller is part of the motherboard's native chipset. But sometimes it's part of a 3rd party device that's been added to the motherboard.

    For the latter case, I often see SM Bus Controllers as part of a card reader that's been integrated onto the motherboard. Is there a card reader (or similar) device on your computer? Install its driver
