USB flash drive stop working after i format it to NTFS

    1.when i format it , it automatically stop being a dedicated device for readyboost , so its unused now

    3.ok ty im doing that , it's taking a while now ... i choosed to not use quick format , not sure its a good choice though

    ty for all your help. its running completely normal ... suddenly , why ? , idk , but its running , i guess after i wake up everything will go back to be not normal but if it's so , can i contact u for more help?

    Once formatting with HP Tool is completed successfully, I would think you should have no problems for it does more than merely formatting. If HP tool cannot format a USB device (upto 2TB only), then it is dead.

    Let us see how it holds in the case of this pen drive. ( It can still play hide and seek which would mean the pen drive is fast approaching its demise. Nothing lasts forever just like nothing , no medicine, no doctor, not even God can keep a human being alive forever. :))

    well .... after the HP tool completely format it , to fat32 , its now still write protected , i guess its dead then >.<
    ty for your help. i should get a new one before my friend freak out
