    problem with formatting disc for use as a flash drive


    I suddenly stopped being able to format a disc(cd-rw) with the option of "use as a flash drive" or
    "music cd)

    when I go to tools for the drive, it will attempt to format but at the end it says format could not be completed.

    is there a fix??

    Insufficient data.

    What program or application are you using to format the optical disks?
    Are these CDs or DVDs?
    Have you changed brands of optical disk, or did you just open a new package?
