    Which has a faster stransfere rate SATA or USB?


    I need an external hard disk so I'm trying to decide between a USB had disk or a SATA hard disk connected to a rack

    A accurate answer would require more info, what USB? usb2, usb3 or usb3.1. Also the host controller chip set effects the speed. Looking at your specs I would say a eSATA is going to be the faster with your equipment.

    The best answer I can give is I have both and have always had much better transfer rates using eSata than USB 3.0.

Have u use SSD? I went to computer store, and i was told that; SSD is 10 X faster on reading and 4 X slower on savings and writing than SATA hard drive.
