Windows 7 Won't Recognize New Video Card

I just replaced my video card because the fan died on the old one. I purchased a Diamond Radeon R7 240. I installed it and it seemed to work, however Windows 7 doesn't seem to recognize it, even after I install the drivers. All it shows in the Device Manager is "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter", and the Windows Experience shows 1.0 as a score. Nothing I do seems to fix it.

In the start box paste this:

    %Systemroot%\System32\msinfo32.exe

and then .. go to components and select display.. and then check whether its showing your Diamond Radeon or not.. you'll get more details there i think

No, it does not. This is what it shows:

    Name: Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
    Adapter Type: Not Available
Adapter Description: Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
    Adapter RAM: Not Available
    Installed Drivers: Not Available

I guess the third time's a charm. Uninstalled and reinstalled driver software for a third time and it worked. Thanks.

Did you install drivers from a CD that came with the video card? Asking because I have the very same card and have installed the latest 14.3 beta drivers and they are working great. You might want to try those if you have an older version of the drivers.
