After flash player update, mouse, keyboard and network cannot work

Turns out it's DNS phishing. Access youtube.com and still ask for flash player. Got installed it and voila, my mouse, keyboard and network now cannot work. It still have functioning on bios and on windows 7 dvd installation.

How to repair this?

Run into safe mode to system restore, but the mouse and keyboard also cannot work. Hence I can't do the system restore.

Tried last known good configuration, still cannot work.

Tried system restore from windows 7 dvd installation, but it got error on rstrui.exe refferenced memory something.

Is there any possible way that at least I can get the mouse work so I can use the system restore through the safe mode?

Last known good configuration will do the same thing as System Restore, only using the last known good restore point rather than a user selected (earlier) one. So that option has been played.

I would test to see if there is function at the system level.
Can you get into BIOS settings and will the keyboard work in there?
If you have problems accessing BIOS try disconnecting the hard drive beforehand.

Let us know if the keyboard works at the BIOS level.

Keyboard works on bios, only when windows 7 got load up, it not functioning anymore, so it's not the hardware problems. It goes same on mouse too.

Do you have a Windows 7 System Repair CD? Or an installation DVD?
If you do you can boot from that and see if #1 the mouse and keyboard work there, and #2 you could run System Restore from there.

Yes, I have, already boot from DVD installation, the mouse and keyboard works just fine. Tried system restore, but there's some error something rstrui.exe reference memory.

There's a load driver option which makes me possible to access file on hard drive. I tried back up system32 on another drive, then copy paste the system32 on DVD installation into my C:/Windows/system32. Still doesn't work. Then I tried copy the drivers folder that includes .sys files. Also doesn't work.

Then I delete the system32 folder and replace it back with the one I back up earlier. This is when I made a mistake. The system restore history becomes empty, it turns out I cannot mess with system32 folder, somehow it erased the system restore points.

I realized when I pressed F8 multiple times, at the top in last knows good configuration, there's a system restore options.. dang... now the history is empty so it's useless already.

So I give up and my brother took the PC to the PC Repair Shop.

Well that could be for the best.

My next suggestion would have been to run a Repair Installation. My guess is that is what they will do at the shop.

^ I've tried the repair installation. Nothing much could have done. It's only fix the system boot, which is already fine. Oh, it also got something to load up driver information so I think it can scan the driver, but I don't know which file I should load up, so it's useless for me. Do you know which file I should have load up? and the file path?

I messed up system32 folder so much, hence the clean install is actually the best way.

I would agree with that.

I would not know what to tell you about uploading files unless I was sitting in front of the machine.

And just to be sure: you know there is a difference between "Startup Repair"
