Bios installed successfully at start up but system doesn't boot..
Hello Friends... Yesterday, my dell precision 670 was unable to start so a lot of start up messages appeared, one of which was that system battery is low so i replaced old cmos battery with a new one, now," system battery is low," message has been removed but still i am getting following prompts and system still doesn't boot:
CERC SATA 2S BIOS for Non-Hotplug Drive
Press Ctrl A for Adaptec Raid Configuration Utility
Controller #00: CERC SATA 2S at PCI BUS:00 , Dev:1F
Loading Configuration..... Done..
Port#00 WD5000AAKS-00TMA12.01C01
SATA JBOD - PORT- 0 WDC WD5000AAKS-0
1 JBOD Device Found.
Bios Installed Successfully!!
Then it gives me two options further in the boot process
Launch Start Up Repair
Start Windows Normally
If i chose, start up repair option it says failed to repair and start windows normally option first displays "windows is starting message", and then windows 7 log starts for a second but then system restarts from here.... one more thing, i went into bios and i can see, CERC 2S#0-#0 wdc WD5000AAKS-0 in the boot sequence option instead of my Sata Hd which says, not present, and down in the on board devices menu, drive where my hd is present says, this drive is controlled by Raid BIOS....
Pardon me for writing a lengthy question but i don't wana lose my data which unfortunately is on my desktop so please help me sort this issue out.... Thanks a Million... :)
