Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit

Well, believe it or not; its possible there could be defective hardware inside the mouse causing windows not to detect it. Even if its new it could be defective. Ive seen this happen too many times to count. If its wireless then its possible the receiver, mouse itself; or both could be bad. If wired; it could have a bad cable and or the mouse hardware inside the device could be bad itself. Does the mouse not work only with windows 7? What about the other operating systems? IMO I would go back to where you bought it and swap it for another one of the same model.
