    Unllocated disk drive (500Gb)

    Hello,
I bought my computer some years ago (2 i believe) i have dual hard drives on the system both 500Gb drives.
I have never been able to view the second drive however in Device Manager and in Computer Management they both show up. In Computer Management the one drive showed up as "Uninitialized/Unallocated". I initialized the drive ( the other being Master Boot i went with the GUID Partition Table option). It still reads as unallocated. the computer still does not show the other drive as an active hard drive and im unable to store things on it or even view it. It does however tell me the device is working properly. Any help in making it work properly would be greatly appreciated.

    OS: Windows 7 (64bit)
    CPU: Intel core i5
    Drives : WD5000AAKX-753CA1 ATA Device

Hello Dragonhammer. Welcome to the forum.

It would be helpful if you could post a screenshot of the Disk Management window, expanded so we can read everything top and bottom.

If you right click Disk 0 (the unallocated space) in the lower portion of that screen, what menu choices appear to be available to you and which are greyed out?

Disk 0 needs a partition with a letter. Just right click on the unallocated space and define a simple partition. The wizard will guide you.

If that does not work because things are greyed out, use Partition Wizard.
