Try using the sharing tab and share the folder, if it says you do not have permission and also has a continue button, push the continue button and provide the administrator password. In the sharing tab, share with everyone and set the permissions to read/write. after you get everything you want, delete the windows.old folder. (Windows.old Folder - Delete)

As a last resort try Take Ownership Shortcut

Once you get finished transferring all the data you need from Windows.old, delete it. Windows.old Folder - Delete I'm happy everything worked out for you. When you feel that the problem is solved, please mark it solved. If you need any further help, just ask.

I have a Lenovo laptop that's displaying a black screen after windows 7 loads. The only thing you can see is the mouse pointer. I tried repairing it using the system repair and it says "System Volume on disk is corrupt."

I also tried rebooting it in safe mode. Still the same black screen and mouse pointer.

Then I also rebooted it in command prompt, same thing.

    There's no restore point too.

I haven't tried taking out its hdd and putting it on a desktop pc though. Any other options I could do?
