Explorer.exe - Remap USB Mouse "Back" Function?
Hello!
To jump right to my question...I have a wireless USB mouse (the microsoft wireless mouse 5000, for those concerned). When in windows explorer (win 7) I often find myself using my mouse's physical back and forward hardware keys. This is obviously a shortcut to clicking the screen's provided "previous and next" buttons provided. What I've noticed about these shortcuts is that they take you to the last folder you were viewing in explorer. I often use the side menu and navigation bar for getting around faster, and my biggest pet peeve about the "back button" is that instead of taking me to the next highest (parent) directory, the back button instead navigates me to the last folder I was in. My question, is if there is a tweak I can perform that would affect the back/forward buttons in Windows 7's explorer to direct me to the preceding (parent) folder that I'm currently viewing, as opposed to taking me to my previous directory.
Thank you in advance!
