1600Mhz RAM only showing 1400Mhz?

at the end of the day you have a budget cpu.. no matter the memory speed it will always be the bottle neck.

you wont see any difference in day to day computing and gaming between 1333mhz and 1600mhz.

youll only see gains in extremely high ram consuption applications such as video editing... but again the cpu will hold it all back way beforw that becomes noticeable.

If you don't have experience of the fault, you don't need to immediately presume that the person experiencing it doesn't know what they're talking about.

Most CPUs are rated for memory at an unusually low frequency, but in reality will clock a lot higher on the most basic motherboards. All this thread needed was a reply from someone with experience of exceptions; to say that is isn't always about the motherboard, memory or user.

Perhaps before you come on a thread and start criticizing everyone, you should read the thread first.

The memory controller is on the CPU, not the board. Your limitations may be with the CPU not the board.

I got lost in going through a the graphs and things posted by boadwong thinking it was snadge.

Does snadge have a unlocked Haswell and what is the exact cpu number.

If I have missed this information in the mush of the all I'm sorry.

I believe the Haswell comes locked which allow a little bump with the ram but not much and a unlocked Haswell.

Real answers were given relevant to the information provided. If people don't provide all relevant information how can they expect pinpoint help?

The g3220 as I stated earlier is an extremely budget cpu its basically a rebrand ir a rebrand and just carries hazwell by name.. its max memory speed is 1333mhz.. that processor will be the weakest link in any pc..

so regardless of "the issue" which isnt an issue its just the limitations of budget components. cant have it all on a shoe string.
