Wake from sleep problems

Initially, I posted this in the sound section:

After I wake up my pc from sleep mode, windows audio seems to be gone but only certain things. On browsers there's no audio (any video on YouTube do not have audio and stop playing after 7 seconds). The only sound that does work however is on iTunes for some reason.
I can open the playback devices fine but its does not work when I "test" it; as soon as I hit the recording devices tab, it freezes up and does not respond
The only way to get the sound back is to restart my computer all together

Are there any solutions to this problem?
(Also using a soundcard)

I was told that sound may not be the only issue to this and it may be related to hardware and the computer failing to wake completely.
I would also like to add that after waking my CPU is also working more than it should: normally around 20-30% with my mozilla firefox open, but after waking from sleep and nothing running in the back, its working at around 70-80% for some reason.
Not sure if this is related to the sleep/sound problem, but just adding it in here if it helps

I can't tell by the way you worded your issue if its related more to one app or not but sounds like it could be a Flash issue. If it isn't related more to one particular app I would suggest:
1. See if there is an update to your BIOS because I have seen original shipped BIOS with MB's causing such issues. O have seen many issues with resuming from sleep effecting cpu, cpu fan speeds, ect.
2. I thought there was a number two but can't think of it at the moment.
