    Installing windows 7 help


    Sir, my laptop is Compaq CQ621. While starting Laptop, it would switch off automatically when the windows logo appears in the startup. i would succeed in starting windows 7 almost after 40-50 times restarting. so i decided to reinstall windows 7 but to no Vail it would also switch off again during booting. i tried installing windows xp and was successful in installing it.but windows 7 was not installing.Also earlier my laptop's battery was dead so i would use laptop by plugging in charger without installing battery. Can such action cause such problems.There was no other issues with my laptop. what should i do to install windows 7

    the problem isn't your battery. Can you do a disk check (chkdsk /r) for the hard disk. I think it's faulty
