    Computer Not Turning On?

My computer isn't turning on, I've tried multiple power cables and different powerboards. How can I tell any signs of something breaking inside the computer (it's a desktop). What do I look for signs of?

    Thanks.

physical signs of damage are rare, occasionally youll see a blow capacitor or resistor, basically anything burnt and unhealthy looking is Bad!

but its not always the case, ifs of all id check your power supply. if you have a volt meter and or a degree of knowledge about electricity you could quickly determine if theres any life when you press the power button.

the power button is also a good place to start. unplug it and touch the 2 pins together with a screw driver.
if it turns on, its a simple fix, if it doesnt and you cant test your power supply, see if you can borrow one from a friend.
I have a super cheap £10 jobbie from ebay that I use to test. I literally only plug in the essential cables and press the power button, if it turns on, I turn it off straight away and have my answer.

there should be an on off switch on the psu on the rear, make sure you havent turned that iff by accident!

if that doesn't work you need to get your hands on a psu to test of thats the issue. only need to plug in the 24pin and the 4/8pin cpu connector. if it turns on you know you need a new powers puppy.
