    An infection may not be causing the USB issue, but you do have some infections. run the Adwcleaner in Clean function and post the log from it.

    Testing with a Linux Live CD would be an option.

    Would be worth getting Ubuntu onto a USB, booting from that, and testing the mouse with it in there?
    Anything is possible now mate so go ahead and run what Britton has suggested and if you like try the Ubuntu at least you will see if the cursor etc works.
