    amd processors on lga1155?

Are there any amd processors out there that will work with a lga1155 socket motherboard from asus? And what would compare to the intel i7 2600k lga 1155 socket processor on the amd side? Also; would i have to switch to a different motherboard completely; or is there a way to make it compatible with the current asus motherboard i have? The reason I ask is because Im seriously thinking of jumping ship because Intel's customer support is non existent imo as they are trying to highway rob me for trying to get a replacement processor thats suppose to be under warranty. Thanks Matt

No the 1155 is Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge, no AMD compatibility.

As Boozad mentioned zero chance of AMD and Intel CPU or Mobo interchangeability.

Well; what would be compatible on the amd side of things? Like i said Im about 1/2 step away from going over to the other side as I feel like Ive gotten nowhere with intel's customer support.

AMD and Intel are not cross compatible, they require their own specialized motherboard.

Thats what i pretty much figured. I really dont want to shell out for another board on the amd side but if thats the only way to get decent customer service these days; I may not have much choice but to do it that way. Any idea what would be comparable to the i7 2600k lga 1155 on the amd side?

Amazing! You wont follow our simple advice to determine whether you actually need a new CPU....all for the cost of some thermal paste and a cheap thumb drive, and now you're talking about replacing a CPU

    bsod while computer idle

At least have the courtesy to mark that thread solved if you have decided our advice is useless.
