Not likely. I just throw a towel or old sheet over equipment that is not in use.

You mean over the vents and fans, right? Can I just use a piece of paper?

But one box is better than none though, isn't it?
Sure, but 2 boxes is better than 1.

Well I guess I could put it in 10 boxes if I wanted. I decided to just leave it there on my table if it doesn't make a big difference. Would the tightness of the box matter if I were to put it in a box?

The tightness of the box would only matter if you were moving it - transporting it across town for instance. Only then would you be concerned that it would not bang around inside the box.

Well, unless I'm moving, I guess I will not have to box the PC.
