Touchpad too sensitive - mouse properties no help

I am using a keyboard w/touchpad (Adesso ACK-730UB), which is plug + play, no mfg. driver provided.

I want to disable the "tap to click", use pad for moving cursor and nothing else.

There's nothing in Mouse Properties that can change this touchpad setting.
Properties shows "hid-compliant mouse" and nothing specific to touchpad. Options are "buttons/ pointer/ pointer options/ wheel/ hardware".

Searching, found suggestions to install drivers by Ultranav and Synaptics. Thought it might work even though I'm using a different touchpad - didn't help. There's nothing on Adresso's site for this either.

Any ideas if this can be fixed? Lots of people seem to hate "tap to click", but I'm stuck with hardware that seems unsupported. Must be a workaround somewhere, no?

    Thanks.

More: Adesso keyboard uses a GlidePoint touchpad by Cirque. Tried a couple of their drivers, but they are not recognized ("There are no devices available to configure").
