Windows 7: Freezes on Desktop, BSOD on Safe Mode & on LKGC

Freezes on Desktop, BSOD on Safe Mode & on LKGC

I recently bought a PC from a store in our local mall. It's not branded, it's custom built. He's also generous enough to include a 22" Samsung Syncmaster Monitor. After a few weeks it started to fall apart. Here's a complete timeline.

Checkdisk scans my hard drive -> Sudden PC crashes while play TS3 (Total of 4 crashes) -> Computer left idle, crashes (Page default in Non-paged Area) -> PC recovers itself, I watch a YTube video, crashes -> I open a web browser, blue screen -> I clean my RAM and Graphics Card -> Freezes on desktop

This is the part where I started to get angry. I turned off my PC and turned it on and then suddenly, I'm stuck in the AMI BIOS startup where it checks the hard drive and everything else. Everything freezes on "Checking NVRAM"

I went back to the store and they started giving me solutions which costs approx. $100 (P 4000+) They said the PC only had 1 week warranty even though the guy who presented the PC said it had 1 Year warranty. They said, "Oh no, we don't have any PCs that have 1 year warranty.

That's why I came here because maybe there are other ways to fix these problems. Thanks for your time guys! And I hope that one of you can help me. :)

hi and welcome to the forum!

nvram is non volatile ram that stores the bios and settings.

now you could change the cmos battery and clear the bios to factory default in an attempt to solve it, but I think in this case your mobo is a dud.

the fact that youve had post boot issues would point to more than one fault that could all point back to the mobo.

despite the utter numpties at your local store that I would avoid like the plague infuture, your components inside have a years warranty from the moment you purchase them, if they arent willing to honour it the manufacturer will.

So does this mean the motherboard is about to die?

That's also the problem. They didn't include the boxes that the parts came with. But all I know is the brand of the motherboard, which is called BIOSTAR. I think it's a chinese brand, considering the fact that it only costed me $200 (P 8400) that PC.

I should have bought a decent, branded PC like Dell and HP.
