What model HP Laptop is that?

I have the DV6000 series and I am running Windows 7 x64 currently fine. My laptop came with 1GB of ram but I upgraded it to 4GB for like $50 shipped off of newegg. I installed Windows 7 Build 7000 on it when it had 1GB ram and it ran perfectly fine! Granted I do not do much (AIM/Forums/Internet/Surfing/Videos/ECT)

the only thing wrong with that post is that he thinks Windows will ever get out of ALPHA !! we are always beta testing for M$ whilst they wrack in the dough and we are left with BSOD's.

since win95 they have only been leaders in OS for WinXP.....otherwise they have been copycatting MAC OS

And he probably meant, RAM that can be removed instead of the soldered on ram on laptop motherboards
