Well keep working on the data recovery and deal with the repairs afterward. Any changes now has the potential to interfere with recovery.
When that is done you could try running checkdisk with the f and v tags (suggestion from Slartybart). This will attempt to find and fix the file system on the drive.
chkdsk G: /f /vYou could try this with the cloned drive, if it doesn't work you may have to make a new clone.
