caps lock is doing the exact opposite

Dell inspiron 1525 My keyboard shows blue light when the caps lock button is on and when it's off the blue light is off. Now it's working the opposite when my caps lock is off it showing me the blue light and when it's on it shows me no light! but if I hit the "1" key "1" shows up, so Shift is not stuck or anything

I googled the problem and found several people with similar issues, a few suggestions like holding shift+caps lock & both shift keys and MANY more but none worked

I was referring to the "shift" key for "1"
